Another Apple rumor
January 3, 2005 by Mike Wendland
As I get ready to fly to Las Vegas and the annual Consumer Electronics Show this week, I can’t but help but imagine how desperately the Dells and Microsofts and Intels of the PC world wish they could generate the excitement that next week’s Macworld does.
Inrigue, anticipation and speculation over what new products will be announced in San Francisco knows no bounds. Remember last week’s $500 Mac rumor?
Just look at how avid Mac fans are in chasing down another credible rumor about a possible new Apple software offering and uncovering an interesting name change that may signal something big. Third-party app name change points to Apple iWork suite.

Mike, with the non-crossover dates for CES and MacWorld, does this mean you finally get to cover both events? Considering all the hype surrounding the Mac these days, I would think you would be all over it. Just wondering.

He has to skip MacWorld again…
