Answers on demand
September 19, 2006 by Mike Wendland
My NBC-TV report this week for the affiliate stations around the country is on Answers.com an online Encylodictionalmanacapia. That turns out to be an accurate term for what the site has become. It’s a huge information clearing house, all free, and it is doing a pretty darn good job of becoming the Google of information-on-demand.
Take it’s latest tool called 1-Click Answers. Once downloaded and installed on either your Mac or PC, it allows you to click on any word in any program and then pop up a concise factbox that tells you everything you want to know.

Thanks, Mike! Just caught your program on TV about Answers on demand and wanted to be the first to comment. I can hardly wait to try it out!!!
I love Answers, what a great tool. Too bad I missed the show!
Great review. Thanks.
Thanks for the info! Just checked it out - Answers.com is great. Way to go!
In reference to,answers.com, Thank`s for the heads up,,, I being new to PC`s, need that kind of help.
Just loaded and used it. Very neat!!! I like it. It will save much time…instead of linking to a dictionary or some other page…this makes in very convenient. THANKS.
Dear PCMike
When I signed up for,”myperfectcredit.com”, I had no idea it would be so difficult to unsubscribe. I have left the required information on their web page because I forgot my log on information. They say log on information will be sent to me, but not for two weeks now. What do you suggest?
What do you know about them?

Hi Mike,
Just signed on your website for the first time. Like what I am seeing.
I do have a question though. You
referred to macrovirus to clean up
my computer. When I signed on the
site, my security McAfee Site Advisor
indicated a warning about using it.
What can you tell me about why this
was shown.
Thanks,
Jerry Rausch
