Starting early next year, users of Palm’s Treo 650 smartphone will be able to have automatic synchronization with Blackberry e-mail and calendaring software. Palm, Blackberry maker ink licensing deal.
The deal is aimed at getting more people to buy Palm smartphones. Palm is now running second to Research In Motion - the company that makes Blackberry. The Gartner Group says that in the second quarter this year, RIM shpped 840,000 devices, up almost 65% over the same period last year. Blackberry leads the market with a market share of 23.2 percent, compared with Palm’s 17.8 percent.

What about us Treo 600 users? Surely there can’t be any technical reason why they could support the 650 and not the 600.
I’ll be ticked if I have to get a new phone just to use this feature.
