Gas pipe broadband?

November 11, 2005 by Mike Wendland

Why do I think this is some sort of delayed April Fool’s Day joke? Link: Company works on providing broadband by gas lines.

Twenty two years ago, when I bought my first computer, a Commodore 64, I would have laughed at you if you told me that today I would own two computers, each of which can connect wirelessly to something called the Internet, and I could make my own home movies, make my own music CDs, completely edit my photos that I took with a camera without film, and communicate with people all over the globe instantly, and do it at a reasonable cost, with computers that are infinitely more powerful than the ones even large businesses used at that time, and which cost millions of dollars then.

This guy has a pretty impressive track record, if the article is accurate. I wouldn’t count him out just yet.
