Making money from home by taking surveys

The claims are pretty astounding: Making from $5 to $75 by taking online surveys and participating in product testing focus groups. The surveys are generally intended to get your honest opinions on various topics, such as what kind of products you buy, why you choose one product over another, what you think of certain products and how much they cost, how much you spend on various products, etc.
Remember envelope stuffing? This appears to be the high tech work-from-home successor. Thousands are participating in it. I’ve never tried it and I’m sure it’s not going to get you rich quickly. But I looked at the offering of a company called Survey Scout and it sounded like a great way to pick up a few extra bucks without a lot of work. Another suvey company is called PaidSurvey.
Surveys are generally made up of anywhere from 20-50 questions, sometimes multiple choice and sometimes with space for you to add your personal comments, etc. In general, the more time it is expected to take to complete the survey, the more you will be compensated. Some take only 5 minutes, say the companies.
Interesting.

Hi I just wanted to say outloud that I did Try the stuffing envelope thing. I sent them $80 I got my envelopes and the wasted paper to put in the envelopes and I never got a dime from it. I myself think it was a scam. I would not advise anyone to send them money.
