Today’s Tech:Knowledge Podcast
April 11, 2005 by Mike Wendland
When I obsess about something… I really obsess.
So it has been with podcasting. This has been the lost weekend.
The biggest issue was figuring out an easy way to record interviews and then to be able to do the show “live.” rolling in the recorded interviews, the MP3 files sent in by reader/listeners and have fun mixxing and matching like I used to during my radio days.
I think I have succeeded. Partially. It took two computers, Internet telephony, a mixer and lots of software.
Things need to be consolidated and tightened up but here’s our latest podcast.
Show notes and links are below.
Podcast show notes are below:
I’ve put photos of my podcasting set-up taken by my Treo 650 on the MOBlog to the right. But here’s a list, with limks, of my gear so far:
Terry White with Adobe, sent me an MP3 report about the new Adobe CS2 suite.
Mark Houston is a photographer who told us about taking 360-degree panoramic shots. I called him on his phone via SkypeOut. His Website is 360Michigan.net. My Free press column on him today has links to the Word Wide Panorama Web site he and 250 other Virtual Reality photographers contribute to.
We heard via Mp3 from Zudfunck… the hippie philosopher form the seventies who has been reincarnated as a digital dispenser of great wisdom. Here’s my Free Press column on him from a couple of years ago.
And Kim Culhan, known as the Gizmo Dude and an expert in all things high tech, loves VoIP but has some concerns about 911 enhanced services.
