Wi-fi crashes at CES press room
January 5, 2005 by Mike Wendland
What a mess today was trying to file stories and posts from the normally-excellent CES press room.
This year, they contracted with a different company. And it clearly couldn’t provide the bandwidth needed. I’ve been filing by cell phone, for crying out loud.
I’m using the MOBlog in the right hand column for frequent updates when there’s no access to a fullfledged computer.
It was fun having pics of the new Sony PlayStation Portable on line literally AS the CEO for Sony Entertainment in America was unveiling it this afternoon.
I am finding my Treo 650 smartphone is a huge asset.
But I sure hope WI-Fi gets working reliably tomorrow.
