Cringely’s predictions for 2005

January 10, 2005 by Mike Wendland

I love this guy. I know, a lot of people don’t. I think he’s (mostly) right on. He really does get IT.
Here’s his predictions for 2005. Look at his riff on Apple and the $6 billion Steve Jobs has in cash to spend.
See why Apple will be so interesting to watch this week and the rest of the year?

cool predictions– very interesting about Apple. Interesting to put in perspective what $1 billion might do for their market share.

They just might do something like that. Anyone notice how the iBooks dropped in price a few months ago, yet sped up 20% and got built-in wireless? I tried to configure a competitive system to the $999 iBook G4 on Dell’s web site– closest I could get was $1449 after rebate.

Apple’s is going to be fun to watch!
