Mac mini: I’ve got mine

But… so far… the process just couldn’t be easier.
I’ve plugged an old Dell 17-inch flat screen in and an old Apple keyboard I had lying around and a three-button Microsoft mouse.
I flipped the power on, downloaded some programs from the Net and am good to go.
I’ll chronicle the details over on MacMove but this thing seems to really be a breeze.

Yeah, OK, I am jealous– no, envious. I look forward to your review, though I doubt this computer will compare to your G5– not supposed to though.
On another topic, did you know that Flickr turns your JPEG photos into Flash presentations? I was not aware of that. In any case, I only found out because I use Firefox for web browsing and installed this fabulous free extension called “Flashblock” which makes web sites load faster by not loading flash content, just replacing it with an icon. Most flash content these days are ads, so it usually is only a benefit. So now I added http://www.flickr.com to Flashblock’s “whitelist,” and now it works normally.
In any case, I really want a mini to try out– it would likely be much faster than my Beige G3 tower updated to a 466Mhz G4, and that cost a lot of money–
Apple makes such cool products. T
