Podcasting show on Sirius

Last week it was a radio station that announced an all-podcast format.
This week, the Sirius Radio Satellite network annouces it has hired podcasting guru Adam Curry to do a four hour all-podcast channel. Sirius and Podcast Inventor Will Bring the Best Podcasts to Satellite Radio
















Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of a podcast? Isn’t a podcast about transferring the podcast to an mp3 player and getting away from a broadcasting source?
Doesn’t it seem strange that the Prince of “listen whenever you want” is doing regular radio? Frankly, this tells me that Curry’s only in this for the money, not for the popularizing of podcasting.
