Windows 7 Beta is impressive

Wow. Seriously. That’s my first reaction to Windows 7 Beta. I know, Mac pals, the translucent task bar at the bottom is a lot like OS X, but it’s still a very welcome addition. And it has a lot of neat taskbar features OS X doesn’t.

Windows 7 isn’t bloated like Vista or even XP. It boots noticeably faster, has more intuitive hardware management functions and appears to be the Windows system critics have been saying they want for years.
