Beware of video scam sites

Do a search on any popular TV show out there that you’d like to watch online and you’ll be quickly led to lots of sites.

For example, I wanted to see the second episode of ABC’s “V” a few minutes ago. Two sites that claimed to offer the streaming show were tvrulez.com and watchtvshowsonlinefree.info

Don’t go there. They’re advertiser driven scam sites that claim to show the episode you want, maybe even streaming a few seconds that they must have captured and recorded from the original broadcast.  But then if you click any of the popups, they take over your browser with a deluge of sleazy ads and IQ quizes and come-ons that you can’t get out of short of shutting down your browser.

For the record, Hulu.com will make the next episode of V available Saturday Nov. 14.

    I stick with http://www.hulu.com
If they don’t have, they will link you to the network that does. Hulu is great. I am able to subscribe to my favorite shows and they will stay in my queue until I’m ready to watch them. However, thanks for the scam tips!
