Ciena buys Nortel ops for $769 million: sources (Reuters)

Reuters – Ciena Corp will buy the optical networking and carrier ethernet business of bankrupt Nortel for $769 million, sources told Reuters, after it trumped Nokia Siemens Networks in a three-day auction.
