Motorola invests in "multi-touch anywhere" creator

Motorola signaled the seriousness of its commitment to touchscreen phones this morning by investing in Sensitive Object, a developer for handheld touch devices. The deal gives Motorola access to Anywhere MultiTouch, which uses sound rather than finger electricity, pressure or optics to detect input. By detecting the waves emanating from a touch, the technique can recognize touch beyond just the screen or a dedicated trackpad….
