Works perfectly. And not sure what of the features of the new video ipods is included in the software updates for the original video ipods, but I ran the software update & I now have a much brighter screen on my original 60 gig video ipod & also longer battery life than I had before the update. The brighter screen is most noticable on syncs. Once the ipod backlight turns off, it is still glowing, whereas before it went dark.
