Cyberwar accompanies Russian-Georgian real war
August 16, 2008 by admin
Along with the physical and violent war between Russia and Georgia has been has been a devastating economic war that has seen Russia take down about 20 Georgian government and banking websites.
As such it’s a warning to the U.S. and other nations, which are so dependent on informaton, data, e-commerce and online communications. In older wars, combatants bombed the infrastructure - bridges, roads, ports and the engines of the economy.
These days, those engines can be found on the Internet. And, clearly, say the experts, the U.S. is not ready for Georgia-Style Computer Attacks.
