Three billion devices to access Net by 2012

Today, 1.5 billion computers, cell phones, PDAs and the like connect with the Internet. But as connectivity through wireless networks improves and mobile phones and tablets and handheld video units all start logging on, a new study out today says the figure is expected to more than double to an astounding three billion devices that will access the Internet by 2012.
