Mike--- I have had a Citibank card for years. Soon after they began sending me these blank checks I requested they be stopped. Within two billing cycles they were stopped and have not reappeared. Citibank seems to be more responsible regarding privacy and ID theft matters.

Here's a low tech 100% effective solution. Switch to a credit card company that doesn't send out blank checks. We've had our current cards for years and to my knowledge have never received any blank checks.
