Welcome from the wilderness.
I’m in northern Michigan, camping out in the middle of the woods this weekend. And I was amazed to discover that, with my MacBook Air and a Verizon Wireless modem, I was able to access the Broadband Anywhere network and have full and fast connectivity.
From the middle of nowhere. And this is indeed that, with no electricity, running water (except for the stream running past my campsite) or flush toilets.
But with battery power (charged through a cheap inverter that runs off my car’s cigarette lighter plug), I’m in complete touch. Read more
