Digital photo books

November 14, 2006 by admin

As the holidays approach, a lot of digital photographs will be taken. But what to do with them? Have you thought of making a book? That’s the hot new trend this season for sharing our digital pictures. My NBC-TV piece this week offers a guide to three services that will help turn your pictures into beautiful books:
My Publisher
Unibind
Apple’s iPhoto book

    Hi Mike:

You’ve probably received hundreds of responses to your story on NBC regarding Digital photo books by now. I was disappointed that the number one name in photo preservation was not mentioned at all. Creative Memories has always led the way in photo preservations, scrapbooking industry, and now with state-of-the-art digital Storybooks. Although I’m sure you cannot plug for one Consultant, the name “Creative Memories” and their home page deserved to be mentioned. [www.creative-memories.com] Creative Memories has set the standards in the industry which remain unmatched. I also recognize other companies besides the three you mentioned, also offer digital photo albums. It just seemed you can’t talk about American auto manufacturers without recognizing General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler just like you can’t talk about any scrapbooking, photo preservation, album embossing, or digital Storybooks without naming Creative Memories.

Thank you for taking time to check into them. Digital Storybooks are perfect for anyone to do or receive.

    Thank you.

like the piece you did on this. I looked at all links, but couldn’t figure out, on apple’s site, how it actually “worked.” am looking for a way to integrate photos, text, images of original artwork, into a “kids portfolio” and this seems perfect, only there isn’t enough detail on their websites for me to figure out if this is an appropriate vehicle for my idea. thanks, though.

    Diane-
to make an Apple iPhoto book, you have to have a Mac and have a recent version of iPhoto (which has come free with every Mac for five years or more, and can be updated by purchasing the latest “iLife” suite of programs).

Within the iPhoto program is where you build your book. And it sounds like it would work for your needs, as it lets you put Photos in many different arrangements with text. See the video tutorial at http://www.apple.com/ilife/tutorials/iphoto/ip5-3.html

    Good luck.

I’m surprised that you didn’t mention the number one name in photo preservation, Creative Memories. You should take a moment and check out the home page http://www.creative-memories.com. The StoryBook deserves a look, it is top in quality and easy to use.

At times it may seem like there is no way to get out of debt. That the bills will keep coming and the credit card debt continue to mount.

But there is a way out.

And whatever your situation, however bad things seem to be, we can design a debt solution tailor-made to your needs. A solution which not only takes care of your immediate problems but provides a long term programme to help you regain control of your life.
