It realy a cold thing to do when you give a website to a person in hopes of getting some help then to be so let down when they find out it isn't free.

Mike thanks for the info. I'm going to try the two you gave me, and hope I have good luck with them. I was running Microsoft Windows Live One Care, I would not recommend it to anyone. Thanks again for the info.

Ron, I use Lavasoft's free Ad-Aware 2007 and Comcast's free McAfee a/v. Was hoping for extra checking via MacroVirus, but..... Do any of them actually work? To varying degrees, I think they do work.

I got the same impression from your article that MacroVirus is a free program. All it did was the same as I don't know how many software programs do give you a free scan then you have to purchase the software to get any use out of it.
I've tried several anti-virus,spyware,adware,etc.etc.etc. you can clean your system with one program and then scan your system with another one and it will find many virus, spyware etc. So Mike tell me sir do any of these software progams actuallly work.

I got the impression from your article that MacroVirus is a free program that could acan and clean my hard drive.

Well, it was a free scan, it left behind it's installed auto-start a/v program. solicited my name and e-mail address, and then wanted $19.95 to clean the disk. Thought I could trust your recommendations at face value.
