Small new camcorder
May 4, 2007 by admin
My NBC-TV piece this week is on a small new camcorder called the Flip. It’s about the size of a fat cellphone and, with the $149 unit I tested, holds an hour’s worth of video. You can shoot as one long movie or a bunch of clips.
There’s no tape… it records on built in and erasable flash memory. And to transfer to your computer, burn to a DV or send as an e-mail or post on YouTube, just flip a switch on the side and a built in USB plug pops up for uploading to your Mac or PC.
It’s perfect to carry around in a shirt pocket. I’ve been using it to shoot videos while doing my bike riding. You can see them on my ClydesdaleFitness.com bicycle blog. I also posted some on my YouTube channel.

I saw the “Flip” on your website on Friday and now I can’t find it. I would like to get this for my grandson for his 16th birthday. Where can I find this item.
Thanks
