Except maybe for the fact that it recommends that people turn off Automatic Updates and the Firewall.
Which elicited a NNNNOOOOOoooooo….! out of Microsoft’s Michael Howard and my peer system administrators at NCSU.

Bootup time is only a problem if your computer crashes a lot. I leave mine running 24/7 so only have to boot maybe once or twice a month. A couple of minutes out of my month isn’t so bad. Don’t like to leave it running all the time? That’s why they make the Sleep function. All this booting and trying to shave seconds off of it just does not make sense.

I tried stopping some services and I got the following
Stopping Help and Support: disallows “system information” to be viewed
Stopping Remote Registry: disallows Norton 2005 Automatic LiveUpdate to start.
